Powerful platform, but the learning curve is real

I’m Ananya from Bangalore and I’ve been using Interactive Brokers for a little over 6 months mainly for FX and some index CFDs alongside it. The execution feels solid and I like how much control you get over order types, routing, and risk tools. Spreads on majors have generally been competitive during liquid hours. That said, the platform (especially TWS) is not beginner-friendly. I spent the first couple of weeks just configuring layouts, permissions, and getting comfortable with where everything is. Also, the reports and statements are detailed but can feel overwhelming when you just want a quick summary. Deposits worked fine for me via bank transfer, but the first time I had to double-check the reference format to avoid delays. Withdrawals were successful, just not as fast as I expected—my last withdrawal took a couple business days and required an extra confirmation step. Support has been decent: knowledgeable when you reach the right person, but response time can vary depending on market hours.
