Powerful platform, but the learning curve is real

I’m Kavya from Bangalore and I’ve been using Interactive Brokers for about 6 months mainly for FX majors and some index CFDs alongside. The execution has been solid for my style (shorter intraday trades), and I like how much control I get over order types and risk settings. Spreads have generally been competitive during liquid hours, and the reporting/export features are a big plus when I’m reviewing my trades. That said, the platform can feel overwhelming at first. There are a lot of menus and settings, and it took me a while to configure the layout in a way that felt efficient. I also noticed that during major news events the price can move fast and fills can be less predictable, which is expected, but it still needs planning. Overall, I’m happy with the reliability and tooling, but I wouldn’t recommend it to someone who wants a simple, beginner-only interface.
